Clan MacLaren is the Honored Clan at the Alma Highland Festival & Games at our 2015 AGM

The time is almost here!! I do hope you are planning to attend our 34th AGM at the Alma Highland Festival & Games, Alma, Michigan, on 22-24 May, 2015. Clan MacLaren Society of North America will be the Honored Clan and your President will be the Honored Guest. We have a block of rooms at The Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, a casino, hotel and entertainment venue owned and operated by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe located just outside of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Now is the time to get your reservations completed. You do not want to wait until later to make your plans because this will be an event you will not want to miss. Whether you have attended an AGM many times or whether this will be your first AGM, it is worth it to be there; but you must reserve now. The room rate will increase after April 30th and room availability may be limited. Instructions for making room reservations are on the AGM Order Form.

Tickets for the AGM Banquet on Saturday evening, 23 May, can be ordered from the Order Form or from the CMSNA website . These do not include games tickets which can be ordered at www.almahighlandfestival.com. Click on tickets to get huge discounts, especially Seniors at ½ price. The cutoff date for these discounts is Saturday, 02 May. However, if your life circumstances make it impossible for you to attend the AGM to be present in person, please mail in your proxy. You may choose anyone that you know will be present at this AGM to be your proxy. Your Proxy Is Important! It will count toward meeting a quorum. It is essential that we have a quorum for this AGM as 2015 is an election year for the 2016-2017 term; we cannot hold an election without a quorum. Please be sure that your designated proxy will be attending. You may choose from these six who are currently reserved: Chuck Lawson, Fran Lawson, Norm English, Margaret English, Mark Mclaren, and Gloria Shellenbarger. Gloria Shellenbarger and Mark McLaren have worked diligently to bring these arrangements about for us and I thank them very much.
