Next year's Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will have as its theme the Clans, Families and Tartans of Scotland.
Each night of the Tattoo in August will see different clans and families out in support of their chief and that is why
I am sending this as a rallying call to you.
Saturday, the 26th August is the last and most prestigious night of the Tattoo. I am pleased to say that I have
secured the agreement of the organisers that, along with the Camerons and MacDonalds of Clanranald,
that final night - at 10:30 pm - has been reserved for us. We could not be in better Jacobite company (complete with fireworks!)
One hundred tickets have been reserved for each clan and I hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend.
To take up the allocation, please contact Catherine Crawford, CMS Membership Secretary, at cmcrawford100@gmail.com by the 31st
January. She will then send you the e-mail link and dedicated MacLaren password to enable you to buy the
tickets you need directly from the Tattoo office.
In addition, we are aiming to arrange an additional Clan Maclaren event in that week, to take place closer to our clan territory. Details to follow.
Finally, I call for 30 clansmen and clanswomen, proudly wearing our tartan, to march with me on to the esplanade of
Edinburgh Castle as the salute is taken. I am confident that you will join me to show the strength and pride of the Clan Labhran.
