Clan MacLaren will be the honored clan at these games!
A valley with a river flowing through it and the beginning of fall color in the mountains is the setting of this years annual general meeting and clan gathering in Lincoln, New Hampshire at the Loon Mountain Resort. The New Hampshire Highland games this year will be held September 21, 22, 23.

The New Hampshire Highland Games is the largest Scottish Festival in the Northeast. It is three days of music, dancing, mass bands, competitions, concerts, vendors, and food that will certainly delight the lover of everything Celtic. The clan village is set up between the grandstand and the concert tent, so you will hear the pipe bands, Albannach, Red Hot Chili Pipers, Brother, and more. There are usually more than 60 clans that set up in the clan village. The weather in the past has been either very warm, very cold, sunny, cloudy, or pouring down rain. Sometimes its been two or more of those in the same day.
To make the games even more special, our Chief Donald MacLaren and his wife Maida will be attending as well.

Getting to this area can be accomplished with the Boston Express Bus Service. This bus service can take you from Boston Logan Airport and connect with The Shuttle connection from Lincoln, New Hampshire. The Shuttle connection also goes to Manchester and Boston Airports.
The Beacon Resort is holding six rooms for our group. Since there is limited space it is suggested that
you call to reserve your room soon as you read this article. There are other resorts, cottages, camping,
and condos available right now to book for that weekend throughout the area. People are booking a year
ahead for this event so places are going quickly.
We are still working out plans for the council meeting, Friday night reception, and Saturday night banquet. Further details will be provided by mid-summer.
